A model of the twin engined Miss Pepsi, the 1951 and 1952 President's Cup winner.

My name is Tim Matyn, and I am a life long fan of the big, beautiful unlimited hydroplanes of yesteryear. My goal is to build you a model that will bring back memories of your favorite boat from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, or later. I am a member of the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum, located near Seattle, Washington, the Detroit Historical Society, the Dossin Maritime Group, and Unlimiteds Detroit.

All of my models are:

  • Historically accurate in colors and lettering
  • Unlimited hydroplanes which actually raced
  • Custom made and hand painted
  • One-of-a-kind scale models--not mass produced
  • Mahogany-decked models are finished with marine varnish.

Unlimiteds which generally raced without engine cowlings feature scale Allison or Rolls Royce engines.

Most models are approximately 18 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 5 inches high.

In addition, all models come with their own custom stand, painted to match the model.

Delivery time is generally 5 to 6 weeks from order date, depending on the specific boat.

Over eighty models built and sold to date.

Prices for most models range from $200-$275 plus $40-50 for packaging and shipping;delivery dates for specific models are available on request.

No deposit necessary. Payment is due after model is completed and photos are submitted to you, before shipment.
